i've read a few guides but does the filter need priming with diesel before its fitted? how much diesel?

Do the priming in two or three 5 second cranking sessions. never had a problem and I change my fuel filter every other year.

Make sure the engine is up to running temp before you do the filter - gives the starter the easiest job for starting.

( when up to temp - leave to stand for 10 mins after switching off before pulling any pipes )

1. Remove old filter

2. Take a new filter

3. Fill with new filter with diesel or Forte

4. Fit new filter to car

5. Start the car.
