Featured Replies

Just heard from the dealer this afternoon, we now have an order number. :D

I have started this thread to keep everyone updated on our progress (sort of like our own blog).

Kitten (the other half's email name) was relieved about getting the order number and is a load off her mind.

Photos will be published once we have ors SM and details pertaining to our progress will be posted here as and when we receive them.

Kitten and I own property down in Dorset, so some of you MAY, just MAY see us on the A27 or the M27 or indeed the A31.........................look out for us coz we will be looking out for YOU :hi: :hi: :hi:

Have a GREAT bank holiday weekend for everyone that has one, and for those that don't......................just have a GREAT weekend. :D

Well done Macdemon. I'm sure the wait will be worthwhile.

Does anyone think this ordering time being all over the place is coming down to colour possibly.

Racism ?

just looked at the new brochure year 11.......what was steel grey originally, that was changed to platin grey in jan 2010, has now gone back to steel grey?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????......it gets worse lol..our order form will now say..

STEEL GREY..SORRY SON'

PLATIN GREY...SOD IT STEEL GREY LMAO

Colour of the Car.

Racism ?

Adding the sunroof to the spec seems to be the kiss of death to delivery times - sunroof supply has become long delay to the Skoda factory.

There's loads about this elsewhwere on this site, but I can't remember where at the moment - sorry!!!!

I've just caught up with all the latest additions to the Yeti forum (having been away for a few days).

Looks like you're already aware of the sunroof problems!

We certainly are Jan, and thanks for the PM. The Cornetto offer will still stand :D

I notice you went for the DSG, any particular reason? Also, be interested to know what options you have gone for. Oh and what colour?

Sure, the DSG offers a bit more oooomph and improved MPG as well as the extra smoothness, or so the dealer told me.

Ive gone for the 2.0litre TDI 4x4 in automatic with...........

Park assist

TPM

Variable boot floor and a set of mats

in.......................pacific blue emoticon-0102-bigsmile.gif

A bit more oomph? Afraid not. I just looked at the new brochure and on all counts the DSG is worse AND it pushes the 140 4x4 up one tax band.

For the normal 140 4x4 the 0-60 is 9.9 for the DSG it is 10.2 seconds and the Urban/Extra Urban/Combined is 39.8/53.3/47.1 for the non DSG and 37.2/48.7/43.5 for the DSG. The CO2 goes from 157 to 169 taking it from band G to H. H is also the first band in which the first year costs more than the years thereafter. Weird all this I have to say, as before reading the brochure I would also have said the DSG would be better in all these areas since this is the case on something like a DSG Golf. On the 1,2 Yeti the DSG is also worse but the CO2 stays the same, but they severely limit your option choices as a slightly heavier car pushes it into the next tax bracket as well.
