Agree mate, my first ever lap I hit a 9:59 (running just a 160bhp remap) B2G with road works (amco repair due to a biker killing himself the day before) and as I left to move on to Czech, it was closed due to a 6 car pile up. Not a nice place when things go wrong. Saying that, if I knew the track better, kept on going on the straights, didnt cook my brakes after 6/7 minutes due to all the not needed braking, I reckon a vRS etc could hit low 9's with the right driver behind the wheel with a map, maybe even without :/

totaly agree mate i know who we need to do the driveing

I went to a stag do last night and spoke with a couple of guys who have been their with the bikes. They said it was a great experience. It was great speaking to them.

They said weeks before they were playing it on the Xbox over and over to learn the track, however it all went out the window as soon as they got on the track. They also mentioned how bumpy it was in places.

Si Vxr: - That Video is fantastic.

i did the same thing on forza 3 i compared it when i got back to the vid i took and its a very close match even down to the signs on the road side but nothing can prepare you for the cambers and how steep the hills are  but i will be back next year for sure

See I didnt do any of this (mostly as half these games were not out at the time!) but also never had much interest in games at the time.

From what ive read, and would imagine the games can give you a idea of how long straights are, where to brake (if you use a similar spec car!) and alike, so helpful but as you say, doesnt give you the bumps etc.

When I go again, I will learn the track before hand I think, to help with the times.
