it just bounces back and sounds like its not clicked shut and just hit the pin and bounced back any ideas? :wonder:

Sounds like it is in the locked position, open hatch look up at lock mechanism put a screwdriver in the lock rod part where the pin would go and push down < a bit like making a circle with your finger and thumb and putting a pencil and pushing down on thumb to open >
