Having upgraded from a Scout to the Yeti, it’s in a totally different league - more comfortable over bumps. Better seats, voice control, cheaper to insure and far more power.

Although I loved the scout, the 140 BHP always seemed a little low, so when I saw the Yeti had a 170 option then this would be what I’d get.

I collected the car yesterday and took it to work to show off. Used the Park Assist for the first time with 3 work colleagues in the car – they were all lost for words when it literally parked its self behind a taxi.

We are going to France tomorrow, so the option to move the lights from the onboard computer without the stickers is a relief. The bendy cornering lights are going to take some getting used to. Note the Bi-Xenon headlight bulbs are 160 quid each from the dealer!

Having moaned about the dealer and keeping me up to date, once it rolled down the production line (week 8) I can’t fault them at all. They’ve given me weekly updates, told me when it would be in the garage and got it ready for me in 2 days of arrival. The V5 even turned up this morning in the post.

I ordered snowy as an option to keep the boys separated in the back and the decorative bumper trim to help protect the top of the bumper which got scratched on the scout moving stuff in / out of the boot. I’ve also got some stainless steel plates (ebay) for the door sills to stop scratching as people get in / out of the car.

Slightly puzzled by the lack of km markings on the speedo, so hope I can work out how to get the secondary display working.

Anyway, Hope you enjoy the pictures  and I’ll flash any other Yeti’s I spot (only seen 10 so far in 6 months)

Thanks for the pic comments  I just wanted to do something different to just some pics of the car.

To answer the wait question:-

8 weeks between order and production

2.5 weeks from production to delivery

The Scout got PX'ed back to the garage. I got a very good deal from the dealer (but I did some Autotrader research to back up my thoughts on the pricing).

Excellent pics and very nice distinctive registration as well. :)

My Kmph reading was set by default on the MFD display below the temp, does yours not have that?
