OIL Warning has come on?

Featured Replies

Hi,

Started Fabia VRS up tonight to find the OIL warning below the miliage. I am a bit concerned what this means as the car was only serviced beginning of April. According to the book it means I need an oil change? But why if it was serviced in April, the garage never resets the computer and I always have to reset the service interval after the service warning comes on but never had this OIL warning?

I have not had chance to check the level as I have only just got home so will do it ASAP in the morning. Is there anything I need to check or look out for? there is no smoke or oil on the floor. If I do need to top it up what oil do I need?

Any help will be very welcome.

Thanks

Oil should be checked weekly without fail especially with a diesel. If there is no issue with the oil level then could be a bad sensor

the oil you need is given in the sticky thread entitled what oil do i need for my vRS or words to that effect.
