VAG COM query...

Thanks mate, i'll have a proper play with mine tomorrow. Looks like a very useful tool. Oh i used the Leon option as my brothers Leon is a 1.6S and not a Cupra, whether that makes a differance or not??

No problems at all. Another thing is that the airbag module isn't affected by Vag-Com. It wasn't in my car anyway. If you do scan it and it balls-up, don't blame me though.

At the end of the day, they all scan for the same sort of modules, just some cars have different modules fitted than others.

Car 1 and 2 will both have engine modules.

Car1 may have a central convenience module wheras car 2 may have an electric window module.

All the drop down list does is tell the computer which modules to scan for, which modules were fitted to each model of car at the factory for example. Saves the computer taking 45 minutes to scan for all possible modules.

Have fun, it's not as hard as you'd first think and there's a lot of knowledge on this site if you need help.
