Replacement Panel Filter

Featured Replies

Just a quick question to find out what people have gone for? Been looking at Pipercross or K&N. Any other recommendations?

I have a CR TDI vRS and im looking to change the panel filter to and upgraded 1.

On all the websites its showing Octavia II 04-09. Was the panel filter housing or engine layout different on the PD models to the CR, or will these fit my car?

I have a ITG filter fitted to my CR RS. The pd and cr engines use the same filters.

I've had k & n / pipercross & green panel filters in the past and found the pipercross to be the best value for money and the easiest to clean not to mention the better long term performing filter

I agree  the piper one on my Fabia was cheap and cheerful and done the job :D

Had a pipercross in my petrol before I fitted my Evoms.

understand thee can be some performance gains in a petrol engine using these but what are the benefits in a diesel??

the same as a petrol, slightly sharper throttle response possible a small bhp/ftlb gain

Although you won't notice it

I'm not sure about the so-called bhp benefits of uprated panel filters? I just know it saves me having to buy a paper one every 6 months. Just pop the Pipercross out, hoover it down, pop it back in – job done

I noticed mine when I changed it, but then my paper filter was very clogged and filthy :giggle: but I agree the main reason for buyiong one is to be able to clean them and put them back in and save buying a paper filter everytime its needed.

This will be the first time of owning a Diesel I won't but uprating the filter. I didn't notice the difference in the past, green and pipercross. I'm also far to lazy to clean it. So I'm just going to bang a new paper one in on a regular basis. I hear changing the fuel filter on the DIEsel regulary offers good performance benefits?
