Hey there, new poster!

Im in the market for a Skoda Octavia vRS 2006 plate, with 70,000 miles and a full service history. It looks in very good condition but I was hoping someone could advise me on stuff worth checking/looking out for? It is priced up at 8250 and it has recently been serviced (not a major one) and everything so far looks very good. I would have posted this in the octavia forum, but I can't for some reason?

Can anyone offer me any advice?

thanks guys :)

Is it the one in Somerset? If so we went to view it and its absolutely perfect, flawless actually...only reason we didn't buy was that the fella couldn't drop the price to our absolute maximum. If it is that one, it is beautiful.

Good luck

Has the cambelt been done and has the Teves MK60 ABS unit failed and been changed yet? This is pricey job and the unit often goes on this car (and many others with the same unit - The symptom is the ESP (traction control) light will be on constantly.) If the unit hasn't failed or been replaced (VAG have not recalled this problem as it not safety critical and will only make good will payments atm) then I would advise getting a warrenty for the car.

Hope all goes well; happy motoring
