i heard that octavias have the above function, thing is i don't jave a book for my car so i can't checl if it does and how to use it. any help guys?

Anyway I digress...this is a funnction onthe new Octavia...basically it a light in the wing mirror which lights up the ground when you get ou thte car. I think it's on a time delay as well.

New Octy has the indicator in the wing mirrors.

It's listed in the manual for my dad's 54 plate octy L&K, but beggared if we can get it to work.. something about flashing the lights while the door is open...

Not sure if it is on the older ones....

i am gonna play with mine and flashing lights all over the shop trying to get it to work

New Octavia and you can get them to work on the Superb iirc.

Leave the lights on, remove the key and open the door. It has to be coded for them to work (some arent for some reason) and you can alter the time they are on from 10 secs to 120 seconds.

I'm sure this is mentioned in the manual of my vRS, Ross do you know if its meant to be enabled?

They arent fitted to UK spec A4 Octavia's.

The electric system on the new A5 octavia is quite different which allows lots more gadgety things.

I only found out about the A5 Octavia coming home lights last week.

My Superb has this function

Turn off lights

Turn off ignition

Flash high beam once

Open and close door

Low beam stays on for 30 seconds then.

The book says that if the door is left open the lights stay on for 3 mins approx.
