It should warm up in your pocket or when driving if you have the heater on. They prob had the car with key parked in a cold yard before you took delivery.

The display is only under the rev counter I thought? Or is this a "facelift" thing?

The traction control is on by default. Devonutopia can vouch for that. :)

1. It tells you in the manual :P But I think your supposed to stay under 3000 revs for the first 500 miles....although dont quote me on that, I'm up to 15k in mines already!

2. My on-board computer display is only below the rev meter, don't think it would be possible to change some settings to put it somewhere else. I've only got two LCD displays on mine though, one below speedo and one below rev counter. Do you have a centre one?

3. You'll see a amber light flashing away on the dash when the traction control is activated. You'll see it if you purosely wheel spin or boot-it round a bend in the wet (not recommended). It works very effectively though and stops you from losing control. Last time I tried this on a twisty bit of road I thought the engine had stalled or something, then I seen the orange light flashing and away it went when I pointed it in a stright line again.

The key is indeed very cool :frosty:

Have you asked your dealer how much it costs for a replacement though....

 As I recal it was just over

But I think your supposed to stay under 3000 revs for the first 500 miles....

IIRC from the manual, you should not use more than 75% of maximum revs, or use maximum acceleration, for the first 1000km (625 miles). After that, gently but frequently work up to maximum revs until you get to 1500km (937 miles). After that you can rag it! I've just reached 1000 miles in mine, so I will getting home quicker tonight

That fancy trip computer in the main centre display (between speedo and rev counter) is only available on models with Sat Nav. Skoda GB moved the display pic their website when I asked them if it was part of the facelift changes. I was a bit disappointed. :o
