Has anyone used the sub-woofer shown in the accessories catalogue? I remember seeing a few posts before about a discreet subwoofer - or one that doesn't take up too much space. The one in the brochure looks ideal, nice and small. I would like a little improvement to the sound but don't want a huge box filling up my precious boot space, and I'm not sure abou those hidden parcel shelve things either.

I've attached a scan from the Fabia accessories brochure in case you haven't seen it before.

I've got one but not installed it yet. Got it from my dealer as compensation for a scratched bumper when the car was first delivered.

The sub is designed to fit on the back of the left hand rear seat. It comes prewired with all the fitting needed to complete the job, including the fuse connections for the fusebox! It seems well made.

I'm going to wait for better weather before fitting, maybe next spring

Whats the cheapest place to buy one (apart from Ebay) and how much does the dealer charge & since it's in the boot can you clearly hear it in the car (as I dont see much point of it being in the boot if you cant) & once set up on the Subwoofer, can all the normal changes be made on the HU without blowing anything (i.e. the tiny speakers).

Every sub in every car, with the exception of a few, will be in the boot. Sub frequencies are non directional, therefore you would not tell where it is. As for blowing the tiny speakers the sub does have a gain control so you can set it to suit the rest of the compenents

I bought one of these for my Polo, to use with the VW Gamma unit, with the intention of putting it under the drivers seat - didn't realise I had drawers under the seats ! And didnt fancy taking up the minimal boot space.

Bought it off a guy over at uk-mk1Vs who sait the unit was an ideal way to add some more depth the standard bass. And very simple to fit to either the back of the rear seat (in the boot, with supplied brackets) or just place under the seat.

Still have it, if you (or anyone else) wants it.
