£175 for a remap with rolling road!

Featured Replies

Just had my vRS remapped today by Jamie at SP Tuning. Feels good but I only went for a conservative remap. I will let you know once I have driven it more.

The Ebay offer is still on.

did you get a rolling road print out before and after?

i'm certainly not an expert, but the purple line is the torque isnt it?

if so its quite an agressive remap up the top end? 300lb/ft +(415nm approx)after 3600rpm?

I think you got it wrong there, Torque, before (blue) and after (red) are the lower lines, max torque is at 2450rpm after remap and tails of as it should. Power at 3800rpm in PS is 157 after the remap. Looks pretty good to me, what you would call a conservative remap.

Blue lines are pre map, red are post map.

The torque graphs peak around 2k-2.5k rpm and the power (PS) which peaks around 3.5k rpm. Torque peaks at about 350nm before and about 370nm remapped.

Was offered a full stage 1 which would be approx 410nm and 168ps.

It feels better to drive and pulls more smoothly but I haven't had it on the motorway yet.

mine was £350 for a remap with rolling road so this seems like an awesome deal!

Should do, will pull stronger longer & will sound a bit quieter as well.

Had it on the motorway, it seems to pull all the way up to the redline now. It is quieter but it sounds like there is induction noise when at full throttle. Will a PD160 intake help?

£175 for a map bargain!!! very tempting :p

Seems a bit expensive - had mine rr'd again at the weekend and its gained power in a year - now sitting at 157.1bhp and 259 lb/ft, completely standard.

Have you read out the map to check this?

Was your car on the same rolling road both times?

A gain of 12.8PS. 11bhp. Are we having a laugh here chaps?

thanks for clearing that up with the colors and whats what.

You are getting about 20lb-30lb of torque improvement.

As long as you are happy with the result then i'm happy for you.
