Hi Paul,

Sounds like a good deal. How long do you have to wait for delivery, beginning or end of March ?

Have you tried Tins? Just wondering how their price will compare with DTD? They were cheaper when I looked up standard vRSes.

Hi JaneC

Dealer said he'd have the car within 10 weeks. So I hope to take delivery on 1 March or thereabouts. Not too worried if delivery slips a bit, as I need to sell my car privately. ... maybe March would be better than Feb for that. Actually, who am I kidding, I'll be counting the hours come Feb, so hope delivery doesn't slip. Although I did hear that the factory closes for 2 weeks around Christmas? So 1 March could be out.

Welcome, and I hope the time passes swiftly.

I've had my Fabia for 14 months now and it still makes me smile.

Hi Steve,

Tins were slightly dearer ..

Ah right interesting. Welcome by the way!

If it were me I'd go and collect, it will reduce your running-in mileage and let you get used to everything :)

Where is the dealer?

...about 200 miles from Glasgow. I've got plenty of time to have a think about the collection/delivery. My real concern regarding trailer delivery is if their is a problem with the car.... sure their won't be, but I can be a bit of a worrier.

Hi Ross,

Happened to mention to co-worker today that I was thinking (lying as I've already ordered one) about buying a Skoda ... the look of horror/amusement/astonishment (all at once) was quite something. I'll think I'll keep it quiet for now, as I can't be bothered discussing (arguing) the merits of Skoda ownership with everyone. Besides, he has a Renault Laguna (thats often at the dealers for warranty repairs)... so his opinion counts for nothing.
