Very frustrating.

You have your mates from work in your new Fabia Vrs that you have bummed up for ages and they look suitably impressed and are even complementing the car when.............................you hit some slow traffic and at low revs you get this rattling coming from the dash. One minute its at the passenger side then the drivers side then all over and yep you guessed it,the old ahhhhh it is a Skoda afterall comments come back by the bucket load. The comments dont bother me but the rattle is quite frustrating when you havent got the music up.Any ideas folks as this is the only thing that stops me from saying my car is perfect in every way :D:D:D:D .

I've got the rattles you describe mate, don't know what they are might get the dealer to take a look when i go in.

Well as it happens i was at the dealers today.I was going to leave it until i have 1000 miles on the clock as my dealer is going to look at the car then anyway for free and maybe it will have bedded as such and that is what the guy said to do.But it is still frustrating

Well - there's one mount you can pack out DIY style - gently prise out the centre air vent unit, (unclipping the hazard button too) and at the back there (above the "intakes" to the vent) there's a mount back there - I used a long handled screwdriver and some old bike inner tube and wedged some in there - stopped the rattle dead (and I found the inner tube piece again when breaking the car later  )

As for other rattly mounts, I've not found any others that are easily reachable... may be one possible to reach when the glovebox is out? :)

Oh yes, I have this as well (with just 1200 miles on the clock)! It's like resonance coming from inside the dash, in my case from behind the instrument panel. I'll put up with it, but it really is quite annoying as this is the only rattle I have (so far).
