Abbreviations

Featured Replies

This is probably going to sound like a dumb question but I've seen some abbreviations on here like 'FL' and 'LE', what do these mean?

Thanks

Facelift and Limited Edition

The Facelift Octy's have the new style headlights:

the previous Octy had square headlights:

The LE or Limited Edition came in the square headlight version and in Anthracite (correct me if i'm wrong) but also with the facelift interior with different seats:

Slightly off topic but sticking with abbreviations :)

What's the 'v' from vRS?

I've always thought that UK Skodas can't wear the RS badge as Ford Motorsport/RS division have the rights on this for the UK. Is that true? (I read it in Autocar/Autoexpress a couple of years ago)

Skoda used the RS on their cars many many years ago but ford adopted long after skoda stopped using it. when skoda decided to produce a sportier version of their cars they wanted to use "RS" but ford objected so Skoda use vRS the v stands for victory . At least that is the story i read somewhere.

Trust you........... :giggle:

I wouldn't !

 the guy asked a question , i answered it  isnt that what Briskoda is about B)
