Sharp "intake" of breath

Featured Replies

as in 24 hours time I should have my Cupra intake all fitted.

Here's to me not dropping something, and having to remove the engine cover at the bottom.... AGAIN!

I'll take the camera too. ;)

Been there done that dont want to do it again.

Jay, if I can do it I'm sure your'll be fine!!

That reminds me, must check with SEAT where mine and Walkies air pipes are.....

Remember to clip the rear cover of the headlight back - although I can't think why you'd need to remove it in the first place

and the Muff , sorry MAF sensor if you pull it off.

a) :finger: Xavier - I've got no need to, unless I decide to fit my new Vision plus bulbs :D

B) Jeff - hoping to do that without removing the sensor, but it will be a "look at the job when I come to do it" decision. :P

I ordered the parts from a Seat Main Dealer in Exeter, and it did take them about 10 days, but they came through in the end. :D

Ours have been on order for about three weeks, but then they are useless.

My local dealer, who seems quite good to be honest (tried to chat to a salesman about the PD160 intake on my Fabia, then he asked if I wanted a SEAT, I said "no!" :D) said they had the pipe in stock, but it was the trumpet which was on back order (and hopefully on a boat from Spain)

The funny thing was they took a call from VW while I was there... and I cracked a comment about VAG interchangeability.

I know the parts dept are useless I used to work there...lol

And service are going downhill as we are getting SEAT services in now.

Well... Its IN! :D Not been out for a proper drive yet so can't vouch for any improvements. Only time will tell. However I was pleasantly surprised by the ease of the swap. Took me twice as long to change my headlights back to a new set of vision plus bulbs. :D (replacing the covers securely! ;) )

Also have three amps in my boot now,all wired in except the remote feed, as subs are not here. I had no real bothers laying the 2nd RCA feed, and I've now "dizzy blocked" my favourite earthing point so all three amps connect to it. Piccies to follow later on too...

I also washed the car... It had the dirtiest ass ever, but I didn't have my camera.:)
