I'm looking for information about the roomster motor and cylinders materials...

I'm about to use ethanol and I'm concerned on effects on the motor parts...

especially rusting from water steam and excessive cleaning on cylinders which

will remove the oil layer .

I own a roomster van 1.4 16v

I'm also considering to use special additive to protect the motor but I still have doubts

about them especially for those to be used directly on tne tank since I've read that they could

easily damage catalytic filters

I would strongly suggest you speak to a dealer in your country regarding Skoda's local policy on "different" fuels. Just for the record: steel rusts.
