Yes it certainly looks the bizz. I was always told for motorcycles Yuasa batteries were the best. Obviously Varta are the one's for cars?

I understood that Halfords Batteries were made by Yuasa, who are owned by Lucus. Lucus Batteries at one time were the best you can buy.

However I think when car batteries were last tested in Auto-express (2007), that type of Varta one came out top.

I've never heard of Lucus batteries.

Are they a cheap copy of Lucas batteries?

Don't be mean, lol :giggle:

I meant Lucas, I just can't spell!! :p

I was wrong on the other thing. It was the Exide X-Tra Plus that came out top, Varta ones were not tested. http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/products/products/210431/car_batteries.html

This one is recommended for the Furby vRS. 067TE Exide Car Battery X-Tra Plus (XP07)

Nice one useful for lots I'm sure. As for us mere mortals without vrs's?

I think if you go into TPS and ask for a battery for your Fabia they'll give you a Varta one. :)

What type of car is "Imperial TIE Interceptor."? - seen his sig a black Furby vRS

P.S. the one that the OP ordered will still be much better than the OEM 'Akuma' one.

Hi again, thanks for your comments.

Another long a$$ post from me with an update...

I changed the batteries around last night.

There was an oem Varta one already on mine when I

got the cover off and had a proper look... I was surprised tbh.

Changing was a doddle including the so-called impossibolt...

Dunno what all the fuss is about?? Taking my time it took ten minutes

in total.... I had no issues with the key not being recognised etc

But to be fair the car was battery-less for no more than 10 seconds while I switched them....

Car started well and everything works fine... So my worries of having to reset everything

were unfounded

My main reason for changing it was that my alarm kept going off (last time at 2am :dull: )

randomly and my headlights were dimming when I steered or used the power windows...

I figured a new battery would cure a couple of these problems at least.

Before bed yeasterday, I tentatively locked the car...

(for the first time in a fortnight :o I might add...) Made it through the night without an alarm sounding...

So it may have done the trick... Fingers crossed... It helps that I got rid of the works van today as

I'm leaving my job on Friday ready for the imminent move to Bristol. So I'll be using the car daily again

instead of for an hour or so every other week... Looking forward to driving her to work again in the morning...

It's changed a lot since my colleagues saw it last and a couple have been nagging me to take them

out for a blat before I leave... Oh well... If I must :D I'm off out to wash it ( for what feels like the billionth time...)

when it cools down a bit... Bout 8 ish...

Big Star Wars fan Jim... Guilty as charged :D

Just finished putting some vinyl graphics in there to keep

my Star Wars theme moving forward... I like vinyls... When you're bored with 'em,

Take them off and try something else... I put a tie fighter vinyl on the tailgate but after a day

or two I changed my mind and offed it again...

Here's my Vader logo the same as my forum icon hidden in the sun strip ;)

And again... But from the inside... (far more vivid I think...)

SHOT0188.jpg

Rear quarter adorned with a Galactic Empire Logo and a small Sith Emblem...

I don't think it's fair that the baddies never win so I'm hard wired to be on their side :D

And again from outside...

Useful opinions welcome as always, but don't bother coming on to tell me I'm a geek...

I already know that thank you :)

It wasn't here in time unfortunately, neither were the sith embems...

Had to order from US and they were held up in the post

Got to say mind you that hiding the logo in the sunstrip worked out well.

It's only really visible from certain angles from outside so it shouldn't draw too much attention.

You'd only really know what the other logos meant if you were a fellow geek :D

They're meaningless symmetrical shapes to most folk..

I also bought a load of other empirical stickers to go on my drum kit...

Pimped those badboys up no end...
