It should have been a good week. THE WEEK!

but, unfortunately, the seller stated that there are no news for delivery of my Yeti.

Nor for me so far this week, although my dealer made it sound as though he just sits there peering down the road waiting for a transporter to magically appear, so who knows? Before my car made it across the channel his story was 'no influence until it hits our shores' now it seems to be 'hits our road!'

This weekend the latest delivery date sailed by. I am now waiting for my third estimated delivery date. I ordered March 11 and 14 weeks have now passed by. I do hope it comes soon.

One thing I have learnt is that ordering a car from a broker can result in them finding it difficult to confirm either that the car has been built or when it is to be built. For anyone ordering from a broker it is worth asking if they are able to get this information if you ever wish to have it. It seems that the link between broker and dealer is not always direct and hence communication difficulties can arise as a consequence.

Hence me being very happy I did a Drivethedeal deal where my dealings with the broker stopped two days after contacting them and my dealer phoned me to take the deposit. Get your order number from the broker (it starts with 200). Then you can phone SUK whenever you like to ask about build weeks and things. That is what I did. I asked my dealer for the SUK order number and I can now get info straight from the horse's mouth.

Thank you for your suggestion but I have already asked for the number that the dealer ordered on. I await with interest.

Also I have checked with a local dealer, and independently with Skoda, and both are sayng the current delievery times are 16 weeks. So perhaps I just need to be even more patient for the next 3 weeks. I just would like a realistic date. Why is it proving so much to ask for!

Best Wishes

I'm waiting on a new Scout with extras, ordered about 3 weeks ago. The order number given to me was 900179, but then again my car is destined for New Zealand. I wonder if the order prefix varies according to the destination (or perhaps the model)? I might give SUK a call, as SKoda NZ is such a small outfit (one person, from what I can gather).

I did originally did order from a broker but was persuaded by the local dealer that his support and service would be better, so I cancelled and reordered from the dealer on February 3rd - and I'm still waiting! Not only that, if I hadn't called him the 3rd Feb would have been the last time we spoke. I don't care how good the car is, with customer service like this Skoda do not deserve to succeed. Its no wonder they're not in USA (nor Canada now I think). North Americans won't tolerate this kind of disgusting treatment.

I'd be interested to know which part of my spec (1.2 SE DSG, front/rear parking sensors, lumbar support, metallic paint, 12 speaker system, tpm, auto-dim mirror, light assistant) is causing such serious problems with the build.

good ish news for us, our dealer has rung and confirmed build week....next week!...so we should be yeti;ing in say 4 weeks?...wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo  , allthough i aint holding my breath lol

Fantastic news received this morning after waiting since mid feb.

Lease company is delivering myextras free Corrida Red 110bhp 2wd elegange next tuesday!

This is right on the 16 weeks estimate. I am surprised that later orders have already been delivered according to others.

Sounds like I've got a bit of a wait still, ordered my 1.2 TSI S at beginning of May and was told late July for delivery.

16 weeks from then pushes it on a bit tho'

Ordered only 6 Days after me.... emoticon-0106-crying.gifemoticon-0106-crying.gif And I have to wait until November for my SM. A because dealer added both a variable floor and spare to the order (which can't be done) and B because of the sunroof.

It does seem to add up to the extras you add to the order - hang in there guys it's going to be worth the wait.

Again the 1.2 model seems to be a longer delivery looking at other folks build weeks??

Having seen 3 delivery dates go by I got in touch with my broker to find out if the car had actually been built.

I was mortified to learn that the broker's dealer and Skoda was now longer doing business. I have waited 16 weeks for nothing! Anyone who ordered through a broker may unwittingly have the same problem. I am not going to knock the broker but nevertheless I think I could have been told of the situation earlier.

Although I was offered a new deal by the broker , I decided to go to a dealer and was pleasantly surprised to find that I could obtain a good deal. Nevertheless I still have to wait another 16 weeks. By occasionally borrowing/hiring a car I am getting by because the weather is fine for walking or using public transport but I know once we get to September life will get difficult. But there is not much I can do about it.

Sorry to hear about your problems Greenboy.......we're all here to offer you support and encouragement

That is kind of you to say so. Thank you.

I did look at alternative cars but still there is nothing out there that meets my requirements as a Yeti does. Although the Yeti does not meet all my requirements I am still happy to own one.

And it is a great help to be party to this great web site.

There is perhaps some consolation for me I guess, apart from a later plate, namely the more efficient engine and hopefully a reduced risk of build problems.

Cheers.
