REALLY nice AX build thread

Featured Replies

Read this guys build thread.. goes from almost, but not quite barryboy.. to a decent car! Top Marks!

AX 16v Build!

I just wish he'd do 2 things though, that, in my opinion RUIN the car...

1. Get rid of the STOOOOOPID "BadBoy" bonnet! The car looks great with it up.. and just wrong with it down :(

2. Instead of paying for the engine bay to be re-painted.. get the odd drivers door matched! Grrrrr!

Like I said... truly impressive build and a nice car  just dragged down by 2 bad points

I bet he wishes he could drive as well as he is a mechanic , huge project for anyone ,never mind a young lad. Agree about the bonnet would look sweet without

Impressive effort.. but its still just a ****roen AX!

Yup. He's done far more than I could ever hope to be able to do, but, after all that effort, it's still a brown Citroen AX.

I have to say that body kit looks cack and doesn't fit in at all.

The original AX-GTi Looked much nicer (as did the BX GTI)

Eh? Didn't think the body kit changed?

Looks to me like a saxo body kit, rather than the original one.

All the AX GTI that I saw had body colours plastics too. Maybe it's the different colour that throws me if it is the OEM body kit.

Would love to get do that to a car, strip it down and refit a sweet engine. Nice work :)

Wicked little car, he must have a good sense of achievement. The bonnet is sweet, its the bad boy look init bruv! :giggle::thumbup:
