water infiltration

Featured Replies

Hi guys!

I have an issue with water infiltration in back area of the ceiling(see pictures).

I have just changed the tube with a new one but the water is still leaking...the problem might be the roof drains(clogged),because the water is leaking several hours after the rain stops.

Where are those roof drains? I was thinking to clean them.

thanks!

Radio antenna. Could be leaking around the base.

you'll get the prize...can you tell me the problem? :)

many thanks!

Give it a short sharp pull and it will pop out. You have to pull it quite hard to pop it out.

To remove the antenna base you need to drop the roof lining and unscrew from there.

lol soz was on my phone when i read and replied. It looked like you had a gap on the bottom of the antanna!

Looking at the condition of the join on the antenna (where the antenna fits to the base) I'm wonering if water could leak in there, not sure as i've never taken one apart. Might be worth loosing the base and seeing the condition of the rubber seal

it's a mistery....no infiltrations in the antenna area

i had this problem and solved it by not parking the car pointing up a slope and on the new rubber boot you have fitted the should be a clip which holds the center of it to the boot lid, this stops the water running off the rubber wiring boot and straight into the gap

i broked that center clip when I was changing the old rubber ....wich was in good condition,so with the old good rubber and the centre clip the water was still infiltrating

f****** solved...I found it!!!

I don't know why but i found in that gap a lot of something like mastic...I cleaned the area and the water is draining more easily, and most important no leaking anymore
