See post 9 :p

anyway done a few logs, initial impressions not good.

peak air flow of 176g/s, as a pose to 204g/s with the stock air intake.  the car was logged immediately after fitting, so maybe it needs adapting......, so what ive done is removed the map from my car and reinstalled it, this should reset the ECU to a certain degree.

The other point is it was still 26o outside, and my inlet temps started off at 31o and peaked at 6250rpm at 44o

ill try again tomorrow i think,

quick question though, is there a set way of how the MAF sensor sits in its housing or can it go in either way up??

See post 9 :p

Ok, so what am I missing? :(

I think the point that vRSMart is making is that the stock airbox produced higher MAF readings than the pipercross.

What we don't know though is,

1. Was ECU given sufficient time to adapt to the pipercross filter before the log was run?

2. Was the outside air temp exactly the same for logs on each filter?

Yep that's what I mean. In reality the figures would probably be similar but I suspect sy would have had quite a bit of heat soak from the previous run.

to be fair the last time i did it, i was about 10 degrees cooler, plus the fact that it has no heat shield is resulting inhigher inlet air temps, which eqauls less volume of air per gram,

reflective tape or a heat shield and some ducting would remedie this though
