Facelift Mats

Featured Replies

Does the Facelift Octavia Mats still have the little round screw in thing that the Mats just press onto ?

Cheers

Not sure what you mean by round screw thing.

My old pre FL Mk2 VRS had a twist lock fitting that was attached to the floor. This went through a hole in the mat and then twisted half a turn to lock it in place. The mats on my new FL VRS have a different design. Not 100% sure how it is fitted as I have not investigated it but I think there is a stud attached to the floor which clicks into a plastic disc attached to the mat.

Hence my old mats although they would fit in the new car in terms of shape the fitment would not hence I would not have been able to use them. Hope this helps.

*******s that messes up my little plan of moving the mats over when my new VRS gets delivered and turns up matless (new word)....... DOH

Both my old '07 and new '09 FL vRS have the same design of front mats, with the push-on stud arrangement.

The '07 rear mats also had the stud, but the FL relies on a rough underside to the rear mats

My new FL vRS came with mats - not the thickest but will do the job for now anyway

....Go Rubber !!!! B)

do the studs that hold the mat to the floor not screw out , they might have a large plastic self tapping style thread.

What your saying is don’t be a tight arse and buy a new set....... your probably right.

i didn't specify mats as part of the order, but it came with them anyway..

It's odd that some have received mats with their VRSsss and some haven't......... As I've said in the past my current MK2 and my last Mk1 VRS both came with mats and it's only reading posts on this site that has got me wondering if my FL VRS will turn up with a set........ we will see in the next few weeks.

In one word - YES
