ROOMSTER SUNGLASS HOLDER part number

Featured Replies

Thought I'd post this in a new thread as some of you may be interested if you wear specs all the time like me and never find a place to keep the second set in the cabin.

The part number for the sunglasses unit is K1Z0868565FY20 they £16 less fitting. All you need to do is remove the alarm sensor and fit it to the new unit.

I made this mod too, earlier this year. Very very easy and took less than 5 mins. Just be careful about detaching the sensor unit from its clips. No dramas and money well spent. The parts catalogue also shows a separate piece of profiled insulation which I bought as well (a few pence) but I never could see where it would fit! It isn't necessary.

how does one start to detach the unit from the headlining, please?

With care. You use a stiff plastic (Ruler) to get behind the unit and roof trim, put a piece of cloth so you don't mark the roof lining. Just lever gentle and the unit will come out. there are no screws to worry about, its just got clips.
