front and rear bumper moulding

Featured Replies

Hi,

I was just wondering the best way to remove and fit the front and rear bumper mouldings?

Thanks

if you mean the black trims, they just pull out.

If you plan to re use them be very careful cos if you bend or strain them too much then they can break.

Best to remove them if you can on a warm sunny day when the sun has had chance to heat them up a bit.....make's them more flexible.

As mentioned they are clipped in place with little plastic lugs. If you are careful and take it slow no real issue removing them.

I would start from the side using a small flat screwdriver to lever outwards the black trim. (put masking tape behind where you are going to lever or a cloth to avoid scratching paint)

This pic shows the side of the bumper and the trim. You can see the lugs and the holes in teh bumper where the lugs clip into

plastic trim remover or credit card to pop them initially in a corner, then work your way round ;)

I use a plastic tyre lever for a bike...

i use bojos borrowed from halfords
