ESP Fault - £1500 repair

Featured Replies

I have a 2006 Skoda Octavia 2.0 FSI Sport with 28,000 on the clock with a full Skoda service history. The Skoda dealer in Norwich has quoted a £1,500 repair bill as it is an ABS problem. Having looked at other forums, this would appear to be a common problem with VAG Group (VW, Seat, Audi and Skoda). VW are offering a full refund in most instances if a full service history is shown. Skoda UK are, at the moment, not being as co-operative. I have had an initial refusal from Skoda - terrible customer service. Will contact them constantly until I get some funding towards this - this is a part meant to last the life of the car, not fail so quickly. With two young children I don't want to be driving around with a car with an ABS problem.

Has anyone else had this problem and secured a funding contribution from Skoda???

its not just skoda affected either, all VAG brands are affected so thats Audi, Seat, VW and Skoda.

With all this info on the internet concerning this problem would their be enough for a Court Case ? Legal Bods ?

I wonder what Skoda would do if you spent your £30 or whatever and served them with Small Claims Court papers ?

You have to serve the dealer that sold you the car the papers, but I do agree that there are enough cases that it really should be fixed FOC.

I believe in the case of a car 6 years is considered reasonable life, so the part that is supposed to last the life of the car is not.

Theres about 5 threads on this already, search Teves MK60

Moswt have come up with nothing from Skoda, my case being my dealer didnt want to acknowledge a common fault was there.
