Slow Blow?

Featured Replies

The blower fan on my Fabia seems quite slow compared to other cars I've had...hardly anything comes out on no.2 and no. 4 spped isn't much better, wouold have thought that no.4 was blow your head off territory but not so; any suggestions? is the motor on its way out or is it something simple like me? ;-)

Try changing the pollen filter as a first port of call, plenty on here how to do it if you search for it. Easy job.

Could be the fan speed thing (can't remeber its name). It's in short a set of resistors, and these can fail, but I think that tends to leave you without speeds 4 -> 3 -> 2 -> 1, rather than them all being slow.

More likely - check the pollen filter is clean. Get in the passenger footwell, look up at the underside of the dashboard and near the centre console, there will be a rectangle with two sliders over it. Pull those back and then pull the rectangle down and theres the pollen filter. If it's clogged it might well be the cause of the issue.

The old one was probably the type with active charcoal filtration, hence the darker colour.
