Hi to everyone in the group, thanks for allowing me to join.

I'm 60 and live in Chelmsford, Essex and I'm currently on my second Superb, the first was a 1.9TDi comfort which I had for 3 years and the the second is also a 1.9TDi but is a Elegance and is nearly 3 years old and will be replaced in November this year with yet again another superb but it will be the new model.

Being 6' 4" tall and so are my three sons, the car was a no brainer as it is one of the very few cars that I can have my seat all the back if I wish and yet still make full use of the rear seat, even one of my sons can still sit behind me in comfort.

Before having a superb I had 2 Passats which was almost as good but it did not have the stretched chassis so rear room was a slightly less but still more then the other main stream cars around. As soon as the Superb was announced it was the logical choice and being a company car driver it also meant that I was laughing all the way the bank with regard to tax liability. No other car I know offers so much in terms of comfort, space, style, performance and standard kit for so little.

Most of my fellow workers laugh at my choice of car as have all electred to go for cars from Honda, Audi, Lexus, VW, BMW, and having been in and driven most of them, they can keep them, I have the best overall car and I think that they know but can't bring themselves to see beyond the badge.

This looks like a nice friendly group and has lots of good useful information and I feel at home right away.
