I switched my porsche carrera 997 for a FL octavia diesel and kwik-fit insurance wanted an extra 50quid! laughed them off the phone. Got my 250 quid rebate and with another 100 got a yrs insurance for the skoda.

now that is funny.

Just had my renewal through and Admiral wanted £610. Funny as when I changed to the vRS in March they quoted £397. Having said that, struggled to get anything less than £500 on the price comparisons and turned out Skoda Insurance was cheapest at £460. Not too bad I guess given location, annual mileage and I'm still young(ish). Anyone getting a quote with MoreThan be prepared for none stop tele-sales!

Last year, standard Tfsi Vrs, kept on military base, Esure; £400 fully comp.

This year, price comparison website, declared re-map and no longer kept on base; £800-£900 fully comp. Seriously reconsidering choice of car.

Back to Esure for renewal quote, re-map and no longer under armed guard; £390 - go figure.

Just renewed my insurance. I was with More Th>n, who quoted £237 to renew (fully comp, protected NCB). Went on confused.com. Cheapest quote was with More Th>n at £188 - same terms, excess etc. Good to know they compete with themselves so keenly!
