Over boost?

Featured Replies

im confused...

my octavia 1.8t normaly runs around 15psi on full boost..

but for some reason when i stick the pedal to the floor, it runs around 20 now.

i'm thinking its eather the,

boost gauge...

vacum leak...

or boost control unit....

any other ideas????

befor i start stripin parts down or buy things and find its none of the bove.

I thought Revo stage 2 peaked at over 20 psi then held at around 15psi?

If it's not done that before then somethings definately not right though.

I'd say either the N75 is faulty, or a sticking wastegate actuator or wastegate itself. Check the vac hose between the N75 and wastegate actuator is not blocked or crushed by something.

My stage one boosts at 20psi.

So the OP's car wasn't boosting right in the first place
