fuel cap problem

Featured Replies

hi, i done a search but the link wouldn't work, my vrs' fuel cap wont sit flush, it popped open ok but just won't close again. I read its like a 10 minute fix but it didn't say what i had to do lol.

any help would be great

cheers felix

Not done this myself, should be able to find some info on the search

From what i remember, its a case of removing the carpet trim in the boot on the side with the fuel release flap, then reattaching some cable/spring mech to where its meant to be (nice and descriptive lol) Sure some people used cable ties to hold it in place to stop it happening again.

^^ Its an easy fix, except mine doesn't fix ;) I just have to pop it back every time. One of these days I'll get round to putting something in there to hold it better
