Acceleration Position Sensor fault Code

Featured Replies

Hi every one,

Had a friend plug my car in due to a recent fault upon where there would be a loss of power and the traction control light would come on. This would then disappear upon lifting off and re applying. Anyway it comes up with 18039 Acceleration Position Sensor -Signal Too High Intermittent.

So, what part do i need and how much will it be?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Jim

Cheers mate.

I think i managed to find on an old thread that it's around £69. Car is under an RAC warranty but want to know where i stand before trying to claim etc. I was hoping to use my mate who's a mechanic but he's not VAT registered, pants!!

Well had the module changed 2 weeks a go and the car seemed fine. Then the other half calls me tonight to say it did it again, FFS!!!

Any idea's fellas?

Will get it plugged in again but that was the only code showing.

Sounds like it may be a wiring fault, or corroded plug/pin at the ECU.
