Bolero - SD card questions

Hey, unless SUK do something about it (Bolero) then in about 18 months when I change the car, I'll be looking elsewhere, I'm not loyal to a brand of car.

In my opinion the Bolero is great, for that price.

And when you change the car, wher you can get this much for that money?

Sounds like someone buys Apple because its what everyone else has, & its the dogs bolx regardless of what everyone else says. emoticon-0145-shake.gif

As you can see this isnt the case & everyone has their own preference. emoticon-0142-happy.gif

I really cant understand anyone who dislikes a brand of car just because the radio is not up to personal spec, as there are plenty of aftermarket HU's around, well each to his own. cheers.gif

Disappointing that the Bolero stops after an album has completed, although I cant see here if the random playback is confined to the album selected or the whole card ?

My 500 continues to play through the all the folders tracks till it comes to the end of this list then stops, OR it will random play tracks from any of the folders contained on the USB stick. I can then voice control the media player to start again/ next track/ previous track or replay a specific playlist.

May take a bit of getting used to if / when i move back to Skoda.

There is a setting on the Bolero to mix across all folders but it has a quirk where it will play all files in the folder you start in before randomly playing tracks across them all...

Or you can go the playlist route and just create one playlist which plays tracks in a random order (which is the route I've taken)

Having just seen a picture of the upcoming A-Class Merc, makes me think time to start saving those pennies...

God knows what Warren will do if it doesn't take SD cards or have a facility to attach his mix machine! :giggle:

I don't care. As long as it accepts an Ipod.

I used danishvikings program to set up my 16gb SD card ready for the cars arrival.

Well folks according to another thread on this subject, the latest Bolero's play the SD card perfectly with none of the reported problems mentioned in here. If this is correct then you dont need Apple stuff just a couple of decent size SD cards with MP3's on high bitrates, cheaper to buy, better bitrates, easier to store when leaving car. No brainer really , forget Apple get SD cards.
