Hi, I have a 2008 Roomster 1.9tdi, I think it was the PD105 engine, which was remapped by 'Awesome' a while ago. I have the 5 speed gearbox and wondered if there is a quickshift kit available for this.

I don't know the exact gearbox here and if it's used in other skoda's for which people are more likely to want the quick shift for. Personally I love the Roomster since it's been lowered and remapped...... it's just the gear stick throw which is a little long and slow

any help would be ideal

If there is one for any other vag 105 5 speed then ys. Speak to Awesome GTI

Also you could to the pikey mod which involves cutting about 25mm off the shaft.

I would have to say that it probably wont fit :(

To be fair , if you wanted to be 100% sure , may be worth seeing if Forge will get you in to fit , or at least check?????

I just checked with Skoda, and the guy said that he 'thought' that the gearbox would be Fabia, and therefore 'Awesome' have said over the phone that it likely wouldn't fit...... if the gearbox was Octavia then it probably would.

they've offered to take a look which is very kind of them, would be nice if I could get this done as I quite fancy it as these gearboxes have quite a long throw

Great news, nobody was sure that the Forge short shifter would fit this car, but I can now confirm that it's perfectly suitable for the Roomster / VRoomster 1.9td (pd105)

an easy fit for my mechanic, and Forge Motorsport, originally unsure of the suitablility, had even offered a full refund should it have not worked on this car, a great service all round !
