Planning to replace my Passat R36 with Superb 3.6

Featured Replies

Hello Everyone,

I used to own skoda superb 2005 I’ve done about 200,000km on it without any issues only usual maintenance stuff.

After that I sold the car after 5 happy years of owning & i bought Passat R36 it's really powerful car nice looking from outside but the interior is really far away from being good build quality plus I start having mechanical issues with it after only 20,000km & the dealer is not able to fix

Now I’m working on selling my car ASAP & go back to skoda superb after i saw it in the showroom Oh my god the interior build quality is really superb.

I’m planning to get Skoda Superb 3.6 so is there any mechanical issues in this model?? Are the DSG+Engine+4MOTION having any known defects or problems??

I know skoda is owned by VW but I don’t know why VW cars don’t get good interior quality as skoda

Regards,

No defects that i know of.

Skoda are a mile in front of VW when it comes to build, I've owned both, and you are correct, the B6 Passat is a cheap and nasty effort by VW, even Korean cars are built better.

Regards,

Couple of minor glitches have occurred but nothing serious to date - search for "V6" on this forum.

A couple of guys on here have got 3.6s and as far as I know are very pleased with them.

Aside from the HHC problem, or rather the lack of the V6 doesn't any problems as far as I know. It's not even that bad on fuel!
