Knocking Noise Front Left

Featured Replies

Righto - just seem to be getting a hollow occasional knocking noise which i believe to be coming from the front left. It's normally when it's turning or going over a bump. Some help would be gratefully received.

it feels sort of tinny if I'm honest. I've had a look at the console bushes and to my untrained eye, they look okay.

Check my recent posts regarding this noise

I've written a fair bit about it.

But to summarise it could be

rattling brake pad not sitting flush in the carrier

Loose tracking arm. Check tighten bolts

Console bushes

Anti roll bar bushes

drop links although quite unlikely, but worth lubing anyway

early signs of wheel bearing failure?

Does the noise occur when lifting or dipping the clutch? (could be engine mount under battery tray)
