Where to go from here?

Featured Replies

Right then so looking at my sig where do i go from here. this is my idea with a few questions.

1.) fmic (will this improve performance by itself?)

2.) new turbo, right this is where i have no idea! understanding a lot of people put the pd150 from the golf in, but i hear a lot about hybrid turbos what is a hybrid turbo!?

any other ideas?

1: FMIC will improve performance as the charge air will be cooler, and you get less heat soak.

2: Hybrid Turbo is basically a custom built turbo using special compressor wheels, and or bearings.

so worth getting a hybrid over the golf pd150 then?

Yes - PD150 might see you to just under 200hp with FMIC, a hybrid will be a comfortable 220bhp.

And yes, FMIC will help on its own for you - Simple physics of cooler air, more dense, more oxygen - better burn. Also, if you were able to tweak your mapping at minimal cost, get the boost & fuelling upped once the FMIC is on as it will be safer to run higher boost with the FMIC.
