Tuning for vRS 170bhp

Featured Replies

I bet REVO, P-Torque, Shark performance etc are sh!tting themselves at that

Seriously though i would be wary of any product that offered to do that for £14.99 when a Remap to get those figures costs around the £300 mark.

The link you have provided is the basic resistor in a box trick. It plugs into the fuel temperature sender and changes the resistance sent back to the ECU, which changes the value that the ECU reads. The ECU thinks that the fuel is at 100+ degrees C which would make it less dense, and so the ECU puts more fuel in. More fuel = more power.

HOWEVER.

Your car has a DPF fitted and more fuel = more smoke. The only safe way to tune is to increase the boost too burn the excess fuel properly.

I would strongly advise against fitting one of these at all, but ESPECIALLY on a DPF equipped car. It is honestly DPF suicide.

Hope that helps.

That and the seller is French, can't be too careful these days... ;)
