Thinking about de-cating my Fabia vRS. Just looking for some information on the following:

Price of replacement down pipe (think Miltek is about £70ish)

Labour involoved and prices; DIY job?

Performance increase/changes?

Sound/smoke changes?

Miltek is about £160 for the decat and downpipe - not sure if u can buy just the decat pipe.

Labour is about 1 hr DIY if u can weld

Performace increase/changes are not massive but expect it to breath a bit better at higher revs and poss pull a bit better.

Sound will be quite similar maybe a bit louder on full chat but not much. No more smoke but it might smell a bit more then before - not that you should be going around smelling exhaust gases anyway

Yeh that seems pritty good to me. It it a custom remap or generic? Are they supplying the decat pipe?

You'll release a bit more power, decating, but it will rev freer. To get the best out of it see Sweens answer. Diy jobbie is easy, just needs a piece of pipe welding in.

Yep they will supply the downpipe and fit it, with stage 1 remap for £460. I think this is a pretty good price.

Yeh that is pretty good. Get them to do the (custom?) remap after the decat as to get the full benifit of it to

ok brilliant. should have in place my pd160 intake and filter by the time this is done aswell, so all is looking on the up

im running at CELI 100 miltek cat... god know what it does sounds good though
