Kessy

Featured Replies

I didnt have the option of ordering Kessy for my superb hatchback. However I would be very interested to know wether it can be retrofitted. And Im only considering OEM, not some weird aftermarket idea.

Thanx

I can see no way in which KESSY could be retrofitted, as it's so embedded in the car. Special steering lock, starter button, door/boot handles, antennae etc etc etc... Sorry.

You could but the cost would be astronomical so unless you got deeeeep pockets or your first name happens to be Sheik then I reckon it would be cheaper to get a new car with it fitted from the factory :)

Isn't that a launch start thing, developed by F1, I didn't think any production car had it anyway.

Or have I mixed it up with keyless entry, remote start?

KESSY = keyless entry and start system, now available as a factory fit option.

Yup as Mannyo said keyless entry.

Your thinking of KERS which is Kinetic Energy Recovery System. Used by McLaren F1 a couple of years ago. Rally cars are starting to use it and I read an article somewhere on a Porsche track car having it.
