Wanting to do a few things in my MK2

Featured Replies

Ive got a 54 plate TDi, Basic spec, but its a daily runner for my wife.

First up,

Flip key and remote central locking, Ive got a spare fob & blank key, came from an octy mk1. My Mk2 has a plain key with no buttons, Is it possible to code the old fob?

Interior Lights. Lets be honest, totally rubbish in the poverty spec model Just one light up front, ( unsure if different on higher spec) Looking for a light in the rear and poss front foot well lights? Also going to be using LED bulbs to replace the old style ones.

Trim. Dash, doors Etc, Looking for it to be done in Carbon effect, Whats the cost of this and how easy is it to do your self?

Glass holder and courtesy lights ( wee orange lights that beam down on the centre console) Had this in a few cars, mostly newer, is retro fitting possible? Also glasses holder? Possible to fit in the roof lining?

Few other bits. Just wee extras i would like, Cruise control, trip computer???? would love a trip computer, Retro fit available And a decent arm rest?

I know theres a search button, but i can never find what im after.

Im hopeing someone or some people can help me out.

And Before anyone says....... Why not buy a better spec model? I got this at a good price, well looked after.

Much appreciated.

Anyone?

Fob - Pretty certain you cant

Lighting - LED is no prob and yes you should be able to retrofit extra lighting

Trim - Existing trim carbon wrapped would be the easiest and cheapest IMO

Glasses holder - Dont know, id be doubtfull and its not that good anyway

Cruise and trip - now normally they can be fitted but I seem to remember hearing somewhere it wasnt possible with earlier base spec. Speak with Shark_90 on the shark performance board for that one, he should be able to help
