elephant hose mod

Featured Replies

just been looking at this just had an idea on the hose that runs to atmosphere could you put a tee piece in the pipe to loop it back to the top of the crank case or is there too much pressure not keen on just letting it dangle at back of engine if you know what i mean good :thumbup:or bad :thumbdown:idea

If you loop it back to the crankcase which is the source feed, you will create a pressure loop and blow oil seals, or worse.

Could you loop-it to air filter??

That way filter would absorb any oil trace and give air in-take a-little extra boost??emoticon-0105-wink.gif

Of course you could, if you want to change the filter every day ;) If you put the hose into a bottle (I've a 500ml oil bottl fastened to the radiator support), you'll see why your filter will soon block.

If this is the case, this member and you seem to have a major problem looming!!!!

Your adaption is just disguising the fact??

Nope - what you get in the bottle is an emulsion of oil and water. Not a lot, but enough to block the pores on the filter because the oil stops the water evaporating.
