Aux in - optimum setting

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have a query on playing music in DU thru an external device ( Cowon J3 PMP)

When I am in the AUX - IN mode I get a distinct background disturbance / hum noise even after choosing the setting 3 as per manual ( the Setting of the input sensitivity).

I have tried format wma @high bit rate.

What is the best way to get a decent output for a song unsig a PMP rather than a CD.

I feel the Fabia Dance Unit is not upto the mark for external player as input.

Use a better mp3 player, all the aux in does is pass what goes out to the headphones over to the cars amp instead of your ears. Maybe try turning the volume up on the mp3 player, and make the bass and treble flat on the mp3 player.

You are spot on , I see the noise gone if I increased the PMP player volume and decreasing the DU player volume.

I will try different formats to see which is the best , but I feel the aux in output should not depend on the bass & treble settings.

I use a J3 from Cowon which experts say is better than Ipod touch

best setting ive found is 3/4 vol on the ipod or mp3 player you can then choose almost any vol in the unit and get no or min levels of distortion
