Well after several days pondering should I or should'nt I.

I have decided to get my thoughts together. Sit down. Do the maths. Work out what I have lost on my car, finance settlements, VAT savings etc..

Because of the no VAT offer on new Octavias I will be saving almost £3000 which covers the depreciation on my car since I bought it.

Also settling the finance early means I will save about £400-450 in interest as well. Thats £3500.

So based on this and the permission of my missus . I will be going in to order my car on Monday morning.

Just need the weekend to have a beer and make sure I am doing the right thing. My heart says yes (and so does my head!! )

My new car spec is as follows:

Brand new Octavia vRS 2.0T Petrol

Candy White (Just love this colour)

Usual spec plus ordered:

Maxi dot

Xenons

Front/rear sensors

Auto lights/wipers/mirror

Steel spare wheel

Been told to expect a 17-18 Week waiting list. Thats means around the first week in December!! Aaaaarg! :( :(

The dealer has assured me that any orders made before end of September will be VAT free for end of year delivery.

Can't wait. Those that have ordered their cars how the hell are you coping?

I just hope no one drives into me in my current car as thats my deposit on the new one. LOL :S

I love the white. Not seen one white vRS FL Occy around Manchester since they were launched.

Plenty of White S3's M3's and Merc AMG's but not vRS's! Not quite in the same league I know but it really suits the car.

Tempted with Race Blue again though. That looks proper smart.

You should see it quicker than that, mine came in under 12 weeks (Black VRS Saloon 2.0TSI, with spare and sensors)

Got it wednesday and I'm over the moon, was hasppy with my MK2 and now even happier with my FL.

Every taxi you see is white lol! Only colour haven't seen is the blue one in the FL!!

Yeah red is mine! Wa going to go for Blue or Grey but I thought at the time Blue was common (it was but not so now!) and grey is a bit understated rep car ish. Also Red was free! Ordered without seeing colour in flesh so was bricking it until i saw it!

Yellow is awesome but probably impossible to sell on

My only concern with white is that it is the current fad colour and could just as quickly go out of fashion as it had come into fashion. This could make resale in the future harder if it does go out of fashion.

The Race Blue really suits it (but then I would say that as my current car is the second blue one I have had!!!!!!!).

I was tempted to change by the VAT & interest free offer, but I like mine too much
