Fabia doing well in IRC-when will Skoda do kit?

Fabia doing well in IRC-when will Skoda do kit or version?

IRC car looks so good compared to new Fabia VRS. Use to have a Fabia VRS (diesel) and I think new Fabia VRS missed a few styling tricks ie arches etc yo make look less tall and skinny. Was it cost, crash test reasons? Will wait for SE version before getting another Fabia and hope it looks more like the IRC car. Fabia VRS was lengthened by 3 cm to reach IRC 4m length criteria with meaty bumper etc.

Sure Fabia is good mechanically but, IMHO, looks have still to catch up with the old VRS SE. Hope UK feeds these thought many others expressed to back to Skoda CZ.

Totally agree - think Skoda may have underplayed this one. :(

I was hoping for much more styling on wheel arches, front air dams, etc. It sits too high IMHO ( although have also had that said about my Octy FL VRS).

Think the Fabia in general looks too slim and understated, compared to some of the other hot hatches out there at the moment. Loved the Fabia VRS SE I used to have and was hoping the new VRS would have built on the styling and success of this more creatively.

I think choosing the right colour and options will help, but would love to see a special edition of the new VRS.

Although I'm not a huge Seat Fan, think some of the body kits they have look pretty cool. Some of the new Alfa's look pretty good too. ( sorry dirty word here I'm sure ) :giggle:

Seat fan or not... they have the edge on styling at the minute really. I would even hesitate to say they look nicer than the Audi's now. Was hoping the new VRS would fix the awful design that the new Furbys have... but it looks just as awful. Unless they fix it with the SE I wont be replacing Lissy with a Skoda. I may even go to a Suzuki!

I like the Ibiza for looks, both the hatch and estate, but as a Toledo User, had one as company car, SEAT do ugly too sometimes, good from the front, went wrong at the back. VW have bought part of Suzuki so it will only get even better.

Fabia rally car looking even better now it is facelift as well but the road going VRS Fabia did not take any styling hints from IRC car unfortunately.

Still with Fabia almost certain to win the IRC after the Madeira round with Fords catching fire and Peugeots braking down, as the did at Le Mans also, it is Skoda's Championship too loose.

But we want a proper Sporty looking Fabia VRS, flared arches better air dam etc....

Dear Missp, I implore you to stay away from suzuki. Yes, some of them look good but that is where the good points stop. The engines, esp the 1.3 in the "swift" and the 2.0 in the Grand Vitara are nothing short of a joke.

Anyhow, getting back on topic, imo, the design of the fabia isn't "awful" as much as it's too friendly. If anything, it needs to look a bit meaner

Cheers

Skoda UK's man Guy Wilks is fit again is due to race at CZ rally and hopefully this will continue to display the only good looking Fabia 2s until Skoda move some of the good looking bit over from the Rally Car to the road car!
