Bought one

Featured Replies

Join the forum a week or so ago looking for a VRS for my wife and bought one today......She was looking for a 2002/2003 car for around 3 to 3.5k..Most of the ones we planned to look at had arounf 70 to 100k on the clock for this sort of money so you can imagine our suprise when a local car came up for sale with only 29k on the clock for 4k...with a bit of haggling got it to within budget so well pleased........Any way here a few pics after a wash, polish and wax today....As you can imagine she is very please to say the least...

Thanks M5 is mine....the wife had a yellow VRS back in 2004 which she loved..To be honest there is nothing else for the price that fits with th efamily...Fast, looks great massive boot...

Yep, couldn't believe it to be honest..It was being sold by the owners parents as they had moved to Canada....They moved 2 and a half years ago but came back now and again. The car had a full service in Jan and MOT and then was parted on the parents drive. It has done 4 miles since Jan..This was a concern as cars are better if driven..But after a test drive I could tell it was a cracker. It needed a good clean and the wife wasn't sure as it had some scratches but the inside was spotless and I told her I could get the scratches off.. ....So glad this was the one she bought...Got it home and spent all afternoon getting her up to my standard..Now she looks lovely......Well pleased. Going to get the wheels refurbed in anthracite and maybe a remap.....

what a bargain! looks bloody lovely!

Yes it certainly was a bargain......It didn't look it's best when we viewed it as it had been sat on the owners parents drive since Jan and it showed...TYhe engine bay was just not loved and full of leaves and very dirty, under the bonnet was brown with dirt and dust.... A few scratches on her around the doors handle area and fule filler.....At first my wife said it had too many scratched but you could see from the inside of the car that it was a cracker and just needed some TLC...She was so glad she decided to buy as once I get it home yesterday I got to work on her and she came up lovely.....Wife pleased so I'm pleased...

Wish I had taken some pics of under the bonnet before I got to work on it but here's a fewmore pics.....Not all done yet and will spend the day today getting into the detail....

wow, bet shes over the moon!

how is she finding it?

Not really had a chance to drive it as it's not taxed....sorting that out today and then I bet I will not see her all day..

Very clean indeed  ...Oh and loving the M5 as well B)

nice clean example

Very nice motor and nice M5 too.

Can tell that the car is mint by the interior. Good buy well done

I would get a battery cover to go over that battery and top connector . They are supposed to have one and may prevent water and crud getting on the battery

Thanks for that..Will hunt one down...When the car had a serive in Jan they fitted a new battery so perhaps the dealer took it off and didn't refit it.

Can I ask a favour could someone post a pic of the battery cover as looked at ebay and lots for sale but different types....and a few say they fit the VRS but would like the right one. Cheers.

Very nice and a great price.much love for the M5
