I presume by "dome" light you mean the main central interior light at the top of the windscreen?

No it doesn't because the light in the boot comes on when it's opened

On my car ALL the interior lights come on when the boot is opened - that is:

Central light

Map reading lights

Red door lights

Boot light

Of course different ages and models of Fabia may perform differently.

Ahh rite I'll check mine but pretty sure it's just the boot light that comes on in mine

I have a strange problem.

On our other Fabia, the boot light sometimes does not work. The bulb is OK and there is 12v at the connector, but it does not light up. The terminals look clean.

Any Ideas?

I expect the problem is the switch in the tailgate latch has failed (I presume this provides the switched earth for the 12v supply).

Same for mine, when boot opened all of my interior lighting comes on
