Well got the car back eventually on fri, thank god lol, the turbo had failed and oil had built up In one if the areas of the engine, so to my surprise from juegos last post I got a brand new turbo from Skoda which arnie sharks had sent the car to them to fit! Also got a whole new timing kit, intercooler,valves new gaskets got the head skimmed and polished, there was a load of other things which got replaced, pretty much a full rebuild, all in it was a 3k bill without labour, and they covered all of it so am quite happy, the car is feeling very responsive now and got high hopes, as is am not going to give it the beans for at least 1000 miles, let it settle in properly, but already seems a lot responsive and more powerful, so here's hopin this was t last visit to a garage ( apart from my m.o.t) for a long time lol

That's a good result considering the warranty won't honour my seized caliper claim!

I'm surprised at them footing the full bill but then Arnold Clark did supply u a new turbo so it falls under a different term of warranty as it was a part they supplied and fitted that failed causing further damage so they have to repair it or u can claim them.

But I still stand by my car will never see another Arnold Clark garage in it's life with me in and out of warranty
