Yes, Scots are tight gits

Featured Replies

Just signed up, so please be gentle.

Just took delivery of my new Superb 2.0 170bhp TDI Elegance hatchback last week, and loving it! Previously had a VW Passat TDI Estate for 11 years from new, still going strong, but thought it was time for a change.

Also bought my wife a new Octavia 1.4TSI Elegance estate which arrived in June. She loves it to bits. She previously had a Fabia. Such a jump in enjoyment from Fabia to Octavia, imho.

We are Scottish, and so like value for money, and we like the reliability and solidity of German brands of car. So, Skoda was the natural choice (I know it's from Czechoslovakia, but it is owned by VW and is up to par with German manufacturing, if not setting new standards!).

Anyway, nice to be here. I have a few Qs which I shall be posting. Hopefully I can contribute too.

Hi and welcome aboard.

Welcome, I've got deep pockets to match my short arms as well. I love calculating the mpg on my Fabia to see how far I've gone for very little expense. Tight and proud  .
